I’m Dr. Angie, and I work with neurodivergent people who are feeling lost in their life. My clients often come to me feeling isolated and like there is something wrong with them. They often report feeling like they aren’t doing something right or they need to change something deep within themselves.

Isolation often comes from having difficulties with social connections, whether you are struggling to connect at all or struggling to make connections that last a lifetime. You might be here because you feel close to giving up, or you might be seeking help because you are still hopeful. Maybe you’re here because someone pushed you to be. Either way, I am here to help

As a psychologist who has worked with clients who are neurodivergent for most of my career, this is my specialty. I have walked through this journey myself as a neurodivergent person.

I love to help my clients find real relationships with others. I truly understand what it is like to struggle to connect with others. I know that the temptation is to blame yourself and hide parts of who you are in an effort to build the relationships you want. I know the hurt and anger that comes when they still don’t accept you.

But you don’t have to hide yourself.

One of my skills is helping you find the parts of you that you have been hiding away out of fear of rejection. Even the parts that you might not remember anymore. I help you look at those parts of you and accept them so that the people around you will as well. I help you learn what a healthy relationship (of any sort) looks like so that we can then help you find those. Together, we can help you grow friendships where people value you for who you are.

I help you to get to know yourself again, all the parts of you. I will help you get to know what your strengths and challenges are. Together we will look at how and when you are your best self. Then we look at the best ways to set yourself up to be your best self more often. Together we can learn to value who that person is, whether you are your best self or worst self. I will help you embrace the parts of yourself that you have struggled with, even if they are different from others. As a neurodivergent individual myself, I know how hard this world can be to navigate.

When my clients graduate from therapy they:

  • Are on the path to creating the relationships they want in their lives

  • Have looked at the current relationships in their lives and are making them better

  • Know and accept themselves and feel good about who they are and who they aren’t

  • Understand how to grow relationships and how to maintain them

  • Understand what healthy and unhealthy relationships look like

  • Know how to take care of themselves and understand their needs, even if these needs are unique to them
