Frequently Asked Questions

My Practice

  • I currently work with adults only.

  • At this point, I don’t take insurance. You are welcome to submit a superbill to your insurance for out-of-network benefits. If this is your plan, it’s important to call your insurance before our first session to see what those benefits are. Unfortunately, I can’t guarantee that you’ll be reimbursed by your insurance, and my fee is due at the time of service.

  • Appointments for adults are 50 minutes long.

  • My practice is fully remote, and I am licensed in Nevada. This means I can work with you as long as you’re in the state of Nevada.

  • I see clients by appointment only. Contact me here!

Individual Online Therapy in Nevada

  • In individual therapy, you work together with your therapist to uncover any current struggles or past circumstances that are negatively impacting your life. You will talk with your therapist to process any feelings you might be experiencing and any past trauma that might continue to impact your life. You will also work on building skills to help you cope better with anything life throws your way.

  • I believe therapy can help everyone make positive changes in their life. Online therapy is no different. If you are unsure, feel free to set up a consult here. We can talk about whether therapy can help and if now is the right time for you.

  • The amount of time individual therapy may take depends on the person and your goals for treatment. Some people are in therapy for six weeks, and some need a year or more to help them achieve their goals.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Yes, I do use EMDR with my clients when it might be helpful for them.

  • EMDR is an abbreviation for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. This type of therapy uses eye movements to help you process traumatic events so they are no longer distressing.

  • I often use EMDR for people experiencing overwhelming emotions from a traumatic event or series of traumatic events. EMDR helps you to process the event so you are no longer impacted by the event in your daily life.
